Great find OP!

9.9 outta 10, not to repeat what other people have said above but what possible reason could they have had to dock it 0.1?!

Haha, well said Captain Obvious!

Haha! Have ye read the comments left after the actual review? That reviewer is getting a hell of a lot of abuse! And I agree with pretty much all of that abuse!

There is one point I agree with him on though, the online aspect has suffered since Demon's Souls. I played for about 2 hours last night and every few minutes I was putting down the white marker for co-op play and not once was I summoned. When playing through Demon's Souls I couldn't go 5 minutes without...

You're right, there will never be a perfect videogame, no matter how good a game is there will always be someone to point out it's flaws. But there is such a thing as a great game, and when a game receives consistently high scores, 90+ with a couple of 100%s thrown in for good measure, you can bet that game is gonna be great. It's still early days for Arkham City but all signs point to it being a great game. In fact, the only way I can see it receiving anything like a 7/10 or a 6/...

Agreed, love it too! Think for this year there's gonna have to be multiple GOTYs!

So that's Playstation Official Magazine Australia and Game Informer with perfect scores, and Games Master magazine have given it 97% and have judged it as "'Brave, brutal, brilliant - the gold standard by which all future videogames should be judged'", while German magazine Play 3 gave it 92% and called it "The best superhero game ever made" and STILL I see doubters on N4G, what a surprise :(

@ ArmGunar & trouble_bubble

You're both uninformed idiots, a simple google search for the length of Arkham City will tell you to expect 25 hours of the main campaign and to fully complete the main game and all the side quests will take about 40 hours, NOT including Challenge Maps. Seeing as both of you lack the intelligence to use google, just hit this link: http://arkhamcity.co.uk/vie...<...

Arkham City is 40 hours in length, Skyrim will be over 100 hours in length, Dark Souls is another 40 hours + game. Imagine thos games were only 8 to 9 hours in length, man I'd be p!ssed!

I agree with you that they are great games but once I finished them I was the opposite, I had no urge whatsoever to replay them! There's great set pieces and epic spectacle in part 2 but once I finished it I just felt relieved I had actually finished it! I suppose I didn't feel the urge to play it again because it's a bit linear with no real scope to do things any differently than the first playthrough, I just felt like I had seen and done it all the first time around.

8 to 9 hours? Like part 2, looks like I'll be borrowing Uncharted 3 from my brother for a weekend.

If Fromsoftware keep churning out Souls games for the next 10 years they'll get no complaints from me. Excellent, excellent games.

Very sad news, R.I.P. Steve Jobs.

The DICE mod is dead right, when you buy the game you can play on whatever map you want, until then just be happy you're getting a beta at all!

Free to download and free to play? Frickin sweet! Enjoyed the Beta but like everyone else the monthly fee to play one videogame turned me off, def gonna check it out now though!

Totally agree with you, all they have done with Uncharted 3 is change the colour of the snow from white to brown.

Uncharted 2 plays the EXACT same as Uncharted 1. So sick of people putting down Gears because it has the same game mechanics as its prequels, what were you expecting, a Gears football game? Anyway, one look at the stellar reviews Gears 3 has received will tell you you're wrong, simple as.

5273d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

Gears 3 has already received multiple 10 outta 10 reviews. If you think great games are abysmal it's your loss, no need to be so butt hurt.

5273d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Gears 3 has received numerous 10's already, even a 9 from Edge. Gears 3 has a Metacritic rating of 91 while Resistance 3 could only muster an 83 (which is still great).
Uncharted 3 will be great and will receive 9's and 10's from everyone but if things go the way they did with Gears 2 and Uncharted 2, I know which one I'll still be playing a year from now, Gears.

Wasn't this exact article published on N4G earlier today?

The person who wrote this article is riding an extremely high horse. You can tell from the very beginning of the article that he was waiting for the first chance to pounce on Cliffy B's first supposed slip up and then exaggerates everything to the highest degree to make a mountain out of a molehill. Very, very amateur and fanboyish article.
